I think I committed to use a professional photographer for every listing, no matter the price about 4 years ago. It is expensive, though worth every penny. Here is an example of an agent doing it themselves....and probably not even with a flash! I think the real problem is why these pictures were deemed necessary to understand the house.

What has artist Zack Smithey been up to??? See below:
What is the Easter Art Hunt? Since the beginning of January I've been working tirelessly in the studio to complete 1,000 pieces of original art. I'll be hiding 100 pieces per day from March 28th to April 3rd all over St. Louis. I'll be hiding pieces all throughout the day posting photo clues on my Facebook wall as I hide them... where there is one piece there are many. The remaining 300 pieces of art will be hidden all over Delmar on Saturday, April 4th.
If you find one of the 1,000 pieces in the Easter Art Hunt, congratulations! Bring your piece to the reception, Saturday April 4th 4:00 to 7:00 @ Cicero's, to get it autographed. If you didn't find a piece from the Hunt you're still welcome to join me for a beer and see what pieces return for an autograph.
Easter Art Hunt by the numbers....
*1,000 pieces of original art
*166 hours to prep and prime the paintings alone
*864,000 square inches of paintings
*if the paintings were lined up they would stretch a 1/2 mile

Like a good son, I woke up early Saturday morning to meet my mother at SLAM to see their Art in Bloom exhibit. This is the first year that I have gone and I really enjoyed it. Floral artist interpreted masterpieces with arrangements. It is is over now....though catch it next year!
People frequently over look the importance of staging and painting a home before listing a property. Such a quick fix and change everything for buyers coming to look at the property. Look at the vast difference paint and staging did for this property located at 11445 Conway Rd.

A newer home in Clayton Gardens is going up for auction on March 26th. Click HERE for more information and pictures. It was on the market last year for $1,045,000. It does not look like a foreclosure auction...so uncertain how much of a bargain it will go when it sells. $100,000 nominal bid. Agents can assist a Buyer through the process at no extra fee to the Buyer- so contact me if you are interested.

Over the weekend I stumbled into Amy's Corner Bakeshop in The Grove area of the CWE. It was cute and I had a nice turkey club sandwich. The Grove is becoming a vibrant and fun place to hang out. How it has changed over the last 10 years. Click HERE for Amy's website.
Last week I checked out Winfield's Gathering Place in Kirkwood. Owned by Mark Winfield and former St.Louis Cardinals player Jimmy Edmonds. The space is the original St. Louis Bread Co located at Woodlawn and Manchester Roads. The featured items are a large selection of BBQ. I decided to check out the Lobster Wontons for an appetizer and Herbed Grilled Salmon. Both were excellent. I need to try the BBQ, though was just not in the mood when I was there. They do not take reservations, except for large groups. The wait was not more than 15 minutes on a Thursday night.
